6 New Items I Tried at Trader Joe’s This Month
I love a good trader Joe’s haul and I like reading articles about the new products that they come out with. Tjs is my normal grocery store, so I usually pick up one or two new items when I go once a week. This is a review of 6 new items I’ve tried over the last couple of weeks. There were some clear winners and then some other items that were just ok.
1. Cheese-Less Cheesecakes
I was attracted to this item in the frozen isle and I didn’t realize at first that they were vegan until I read more closely. But I did not read close enough. This item has two problems. The first problem is that there are only two cakes inside, which really is not enough. The second problem, is the instructions say that you’re supposed to thaw your cake in the fridge for two and a half hours before you eat them and you are not supposed to microwave them. I don’t know when I am going to want a cheesecake, so I don’t want to wait for 2.5 hours before I eat one. So I will not be repurchasing these for those reasons, but they did taste good.
2. Everything But The Bagel Kettle Chips
I saw the Everything but the Bagel Seasoned Kettle-Cooked Potato Chips last week and I jumped on getting them. I love the EBTB seasoning and I love kettle chips, so I figured these would be a win. But they were just ok. The chips themselves are great, but the seasoning isn’t quite right. I will finish these, but will not be repurchasing.
3. Dark Chocolate Nutty Bits
These were on the shelf above the frozen section. The dark chocolate nutty bits sounded tasty and they were! They were a great combo of salty and sweet. My only complaint is the bag is small. But I will be repurchasing these.
4. Raises The Bar
Trader Joe’s has so many kinds of granola bars, so I just randomly chose these and I ended up really liking them. The raises the bar bars remind me of the square kind bars. I have already bought another box.
5. Hatch Chile Mac and Cheese
I really like the normal mac and cheese from TJs so I picked up the hatch chile version. This was good. A good variation on the normal mac and cheese. Worth picking up if you want some spice in your life.
6. Roasted Garlic and Pesto Deep Fried Crust Pizza
This pizza was in the frozen section and it sounded delicious. I love garlic and pesto, and this turned out to be pretty good. It was pretty small, but it was pretty hefty because of the type of crust. Would definitely pick up again, just not every week.
