Mejuri Jewelry Review

Quarantine has been quite the trip in terms of buying habits for me. At one point, it seemed like everyone was buying matching sweatsuits and tie dye sets. I’m not sure what stage we are in now, but I decided to buy a pair of earrings, because why not. Mejuri jewelry seems to be all over instagram. Their whole marking idea is that they believe in fine jewelry for everyday occasions without the mark up. Seems very similar to a lot of other millennial brands that cut out the middle man and “pass” on the savings to the consumer. But nonetheless, I was interested after seeing so many targeted ads. I perused their website several times before deciding on what my first purchase would be. It is helpful to note that many influencers offer a first time 10% off coupon. I will link to the influencer code I used here.

I first decided on a pair of gold hoops. I wanted a medium sized, relatively chunky pair and fell in love with the croissant dome hoops. I ended up going with the normal size and they also have a larger size. They are not too heavy that I feel like my ear hurts at the end of the day, but substantial enough that they don’t feel cheap. I have no problem wearing them all day and so far they’ve held up well. The gold has not tarnished and is still looking shiny and new. I would not recommend showering or swimming in them though.

An important thing to note, is that Mejuri ships out from Canada, so check shipping before purchasing. And their packages have to be signed for. If that is a hassle, you can reroute the package to a UPS drop box or some Walgreens stores so you don’t have to be home.

The necklace pictured here is not from Mejuri, (necklace linked here) but they do have some cute necklaces as well. It seems like Mejuri carries affordable pieces in the $50-100 range, but then their solid gold and gemstone pieces can become very pricey (upwards of $500).

So, is it worth it? I would say so. Mejuri has cute and unique designs that are made well without costing hundreds of dollars (as long as you stay away from any solid gold or gemstone pieces). I am definitely thinking of picking up the larger croissant earrings in the future. The personalized packaging didn’t hurt either.
