The Best Restoration Hardware Cloud Couch Dupe?
Bob’s Dream Sectional Review
Like many people this past year, we have been doing some home improvements. We rent an apartment, so I can’t actually renovate anything, but I can get new furniture. I, like many people, love the Restoration Hardware Cloud Couch. I, also like many people, have no interest in spending $10,000 on a couch. So I did the next best thing; I researched to find the best dupe of the cloud couch. And I think I found one that is very close and also doesn’t break the bank.
Enter the Bob’s Dream Couch. The style is the same as the cloud couch. It is a modular, low seat, feather filled sofa. We have a small living room so we went with the 2 piece, but there are so many different options and you can add on to the sofa later by buying just the ottoman or a middle/corner piece. We were sold. We placed our order in January and waited. Unfortunately, because so many people are ordering furniture, there was a delay in getting our couch delivered. We finally got our couch in the beginning of March, which isn’t horrible by furniture delivery standards, it just wasn’t what we were promised when we placed the order.
The delivery itself was seamless. We got a delivery window and the two guys showed up right at the begging of the window. You also get a tracking link to see where the truck is on the day of your delivery, which is really nice. When the truck arrived, they brought the two pieces in, confirmed that was everything and off they went. You could pay for the white glove delivery where they assemble the furniture and haul away any garbage, but because this couch required no assembly, we didn’t feel it was necessary to pay extra for that.
So overall, my review of the Bob’s Dream Sectional is good so far! We are really happy with the couch itself, even if the communication from Bob’s wasn’t great leading up to the delivery. The delivery team itself was good and everything arrived in good condition. The sofa is very deep and you really sink in. So if you like a firmer couch, this isn’t the couch for you. The only other con if you’re looking for a Restoration Hardware dupe, is the color selection from Bob’s is very limited. Currently, they only have this couch in the gray we got and navy; no white like many people want in the cloud couch.
My tips if you’re going to order this couch are the following:
- Order ASAP – and expect delays. The sooner you order, the sooner you’ll get your new couch
- Make sure you measure – this is a big couch and is mostly likely much deeper than your current couch so make sure it will fit before you order
- Don’t pay for the white glove delivery – this couch requires to assembly so the extra cost isn’t worth it
