July Favorites

Hello everyone. I am writing this on August 1st. I am unsure how time is passing these days as the work week is the longest period of time ever, but at the same time the summer is flying by?? Someone make it stop.

I am rounding up some of my favorite things from the month of July. The weather was hot this month, so I found some good clothing items to cope with that. If you want to see what I’ve been drinking, check out my Quarantini post.

Two pairs of shorts I discovered this month. The first is the best pair of $20 bike shorts ever. Good sized pockets on both sides. Many colors. Good length. Get them while they last. The second pair of shorts are these Levi’s. I wanted a pair of denim shorts that aren’t booty shorts, but also not bermuda mom shorts. These are perfect and run TTS.

There was an amazing full moon in the beginning of July. This was taken through a telescope.

I’ve taken the same picture with Sofie in the same location for all three years we’ve had her. She’s gotten so big 😭 . It’s been so hot here, but I also love knowing it’s summer.

I got a new pair of Birks! If you want a full review, check out my full post on them. I also got my first pair of Mejuri hoops. They are the little baby croissant hoops. I love them.

I’ve gotten back into the reading habit. This is the first novel I’ve read in a while and I loved it. Made me want to go on vacation to North Carolina. It was the perfect summer read.

Do

Go for a walk. If you live in Chicago, go for a walk along the Lakefront. Or check out the 606 trail. I’ve been trying to get out as much as possible while the weather is good. Don’t forget to bring your mask!

Sometimes it’s nice to throw it back and listen to songs from the mid 2010s. These songs are from more simple times.
