Waterproof Birkenstock Review

First post back after a long break. We are still in the midst of one of the strangest summers in a long time and I didn’t really know what to write about. I figured I just had to start somewhere, so here we are with a Birkenstock review.

I love Birkenstocks and have been wearing various styles since middle school. I no longer wear their clogs, but I still love the brand. They last forever, and are super comfy.

I have two pairs of the regular kind with the cork bottoms. These are really not supposed to get wet, but they are so comfy I want to wear them to the beach, pool, in the rain etc. Then the EVA Arizona came on to the scene. These are made of a squishy rubber like material that are completely waterproof. They have been out of stock in my size everywhere I looked, until recently at Zappos.

Side note. Zappos is an excellent place to order shoes or anything else from. They offer 2 day shipping for free and my items always arrive on time. Would definitely recommend ordering from them.

I ordered the white pair in my usual Birkenstock size, which is one size down from my normal shoe size (So I ordered a 39, which is the equivalent to women’s 8-8.5 and I’m usually as 9). This particular kind of Birkenstock only seem to come in a narrow width and I normally take regular width, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem. Another plus of these shoes is that they are so lightweight and would be perfect to take on a beach or camping vacation. The final selling point is that these shoes are half the price of normal Birkenstocks!

I did get the white pair and they will get dirty after some wear, but because they are waterproof, they are easy to clean. If you find some in your size I would recommend picking up a pair!
