What I’ve Read Recently – April 2023

Another month where I cranked through a bunch of different books. Read some good novels, and also a memoir. The winner this month was Mean Baby as it was so different than what I normally read and I went into it with no expectations.

Such a Fun Age – I didn’t like this book. It could have been great but it just wasn’t. Usually Reese’s Book Club doesn’t let me down but I just found the characters unlikeable. 2/5

Mean Baby – I listened to this on audiobook with Selma Blair narrating it and I enjoyed it. I didn’t know much about her before reading this and I feel like I know a lot more about her. Really good memoir. 4/5

Meant to Be – This is giving Romantic Kennedy Vibes and I enjoyed it. I sped through it. Good summer beach book. 4/5

The Last Mrs. Parrish – This is a super popular book and I finally picked it up. It follows a rich couple where there is more than meets the eye. Very juicy. 4/5

How to Sell a Haunted House – My friend recommended this to me and it was wild! Not something I normally would pick up. It is about two siblings who have to sell their parents’ house and it turns out to be haunted. Very disturbing. 3.5/5

What I’m Reading Next

The Untethered Soul – I feel like I see this book everywhere so I decided to pick it up.
