What I’ve Read Recently – November 2022

Well I took a bit of an unintentional break from posting here, so I am going to be playing catch up with my reading posts. Thank god I have a goodreads account so I can keep track of all the books I’ve read. I will also be putting together my favorite books of the year into a single post sometime soon. Let’s jump into the books!

The Nightingale – Wow this book was fantastic. I really enjoy Kristen Hannah’s writing and this was a great book. Set around WW2 and follows two sisters. I can’t recommend enough. 5/5

Under the Tuscan Sun – I wanted something light after reading The Nightingale, and I know that Under the Tuscan Sun is a classic so I picked it up. It was delightful! A lovely escape into the Italian countryside and if you are looking for a book that will transport you, this is a great pick. 4/5

Wow, No Thank You: Essays – I kept seeing this book recommended to me on Amazon, so I finally picked it up and finished it in a weekend. A super quick read filled with laughs. Some parts I could have done without, but Samantha Irby is very funny. 4/5

Know My Name – This book has been on my list for a long time now and I finally took the plunge. This was incredibly hard to read, but I’m glad I tackled it. One of the best books I’ve read this year. 5/5

The Love Hypothesis – I was looking for a rom-com book after the above book and this was perfect. It has a lot of romance books tropes but I still really enjoyed it. 4.5/5

Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood – This was another fantastic biography that was on my list for a long time and I’m so glad I finally read it. I would recommend this book to almost anyone. It is funny, sad and everything in between. 5/5

What I’m Reading Next

Nora Goes Off Script – I saw this book on Carly’s blog and she said she loved it so I put it on hold at the library.
