What to Wear in Los Angeles – Vacation Ready Outfits
I wrote a post a little while back about some warm weather vacation outfit ideas, which you can read here. This is a follow-up to that posts with some photos of what I actually wore on our trip. We were in LA for 5 days in March. The weather was fairly temperate with highs in the mid 60s, which felt wonderful coming from Chicago 😂. When packing I try and stick to a capsule style wardrobe so every piece matches everything else. This allows you to pack less and makes it so much easier to chose what to wear when getting dressed! I stuck with mostly neutrals and a few pops of color (like a brightly colored tank top) and kept my shoe choices neutral and comfy as well.
I wore this on our first full day where we walked around and explored Venice. I wanted to be comfortable but still look put together, so white sweater, jeans and casual sneakers fit the bill.
I wore this to a more casual dinner when it was a little chillier. Leather pants a cream sweater. Leather pants are a great transitional piece to bring with on a trip.
This outfit was perfect for the day time weather. I wasn’t warm enough for a tank top and shorts, so I opted to wear jeans and that worked out great!
I wore this flowy dress and leather jacket out to dinner one night.
I wore this when we were out walking around and exploring. Some classic white jeans and a vintage t shirt so I would be comfortable and casual.
This would be a great outfit for lounging, as it was super comfortable and the added linen button down gives you an easy layering piece.
This was my outfit on our last day in LA and what I would be wearing on the plane, so I kept it comfy.
