Are Revel Nails Worth It?

I have been going to get my nails done at a salon for a while now. I normally get dip and it would last 3-4 weeks almost always and I really enjoyed how my nails felt stronger and how the manicure was pretty low maintenance. What I didn’t like was how long I would be there (greater than an hour if it was busy) and how it added up over time. After we got married, I decided I would look into doing my own nails. I have tried Dazzel Dry in the past, which didn’t last nearly two weeks, which is kind of my benchmark.

My friend was telling me how she did dip at home and her nails looked amazing and I assumed she ordered a random kit on Amazon, but she sent me the link for Revel nails, which I had not heard of and I ordered a starter kit and picked 4 different colors. I think for $50, this is a great deal. You get everything you need to removing the nail polish and then to do the next manicure. All of the colors I have tried so far have been pigmented, and even.

The process itself does still take a long time, like going to the salon. The positive is you are in your own home so it is a bit more relaxed. For me, removing the nails takes the longest. Because these are long lasting nails, soaking is required and can take a while. The dipping of the nails is pretty easy and now that I have done it a few times, I have gotten better at it. Does it look as professional as the salon? No, but I blame my user error πŸ˜‚. If you are really good at painting your nails, you can definitely get these to look professional. Below is my second attempt and I think they look pretty good! And these will last between 2-3 weeks. Mine do not chip, but will start to lift a little bit. Overall, I really have been enjoying doing my nails with Revel and have been pleased with the staying power, colors and the overall look. Only con, is doing them is time consuming. But then again, so is sitting at the salon!
