Is the Revlon One Step Worth It?

Hello from week ?? of quarantine. I am still going in to work on a staggered schedule, but I still find myself with a good amount of free time. So I decided to break out my blow dryer/all in one styler that I purchased a few months ago. The Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hairdryer that is. I had seen this product in several youtube videos comparing it with the Dyson air wrap, so I was intrigued because I hate styling my hair.

I have curly/wavy hair that is prone to frizz (pictured below). My texture can cooperate in ideal conditions and I do mostly wear it natural. But I do occasionally straighten it. When I use a flat iron, I have to blow dry it first. And I am not very good at giving myself blow outs. That is where the Revlon blow dryer comes in. The reviews on Ulta of it were mostly very positive. So I used a 20% coupon and hit order.

After using it several times, I would recommend it for sure. A few caveats though. I am not a professional hair stylist (obviously) and I have not tried the Dyson Air wrap. I am not currently willing to spend $550 on a blow dryer (however the Dyson cordless vacuum is 100% worth it IMO). In the picture at the top, I took approximately 20-30 minutes to blow dry from towel-dried hair. And I would say my hair looks 90% there. If I was being picky, there are a few areas that I would go over with a straightener. But overall, very happy with the outcome! The only con that I have found is that the blow dryer can get very hot and you can burn your hand a bit if you touch your hair right after applying heat. Other than that, no complaints and it is way easier to get a blow out than using a real blow dryer and a round brush.

Happy styling!
